The mission of the World Knife Throwing League is to promote and organize competitive knife throwing to ensure all events are fair, safe, and competitive. Competitors, judges, venue owners and staff, league officials, and spectators at WKTL sanctioned leagues, marathons, and tournaments agree to be bound to this code of conduct to ensure that mission.
All WKTL event attendees are expected to:
Threats, Intimidation, and Abusive Language
Any person who engages in violence, threatens or seeks to intimidate another person, or uses abusive and degrading language to another person at a WKTL-sanctioned event will be immediately ejected from the event. WKTL encourages venues to call the proper authorities in circumstances of violent conduct.

Safety
Players may never throw when a person is between them and the target, when another person is in the lane, or in any other way which risks injury to themself or anyone else. Players may not throw their knives at the ground or anywhere but at an approved target. Unsafe behavior can result in immediate forfeit of matches and/or ejection.
Players may not throw while intoxicated. If a player appears to be impaired and unable to throw safely, they will be disqualified from further play that day.
Players may not throw unapproved knives or knives that have previously been declared illegal and have not been corrected. You can find a list of currently approved knives here.
Sportsmanship
Players must respect one another and league and tournament officials, including all judges. The ruling of the head judge on site is final as to the application of the Rules and the Code of Conduct. Players who argue with a final call after a formal warning will have the highest knife of the set marked as a zero. Players who ignore the warnings and instructions of league officials or head judges risk ejection and disqualification.
Purposeful distraction of other throwers includes excessive celebration, taunting, purposefully stepping into the lane during the throw, excessive noise, or any other intentional conduct likely to distract a thrower. Ordinarily on a first offense, the distracting player will receive a zero for their highest scoring knife in the set, and for subsequent or egregious offenses, the player will forfeit the game or be ejected.
Intentional delay of games, including inappropriate lingering at the target, and unreasonable, abusive challenges, will result in loss of points or forfeit. Players who intentionally fix the outcome of games for personal gain will be banned from the sport, with appeals solely at the discretion of the Commissioner after one year.
Judges must remain impartial, and avoid any conflict of interest which can reasonably be avoided. Judges should avoid judging in situations where their decision-making is compromised, and should remain respectful of throwers and staff at all times. Certified judges are expected to be aware of the rules and to apply them to the best of their ability. Judges can have their certifications revoked, or face additional penalties including suspension, for violations of the Code of Conduct.

Disciplinary Procedure
It is recommended, but not required, that discipline for misconduct proceed as follows, except as noted above:
On a first offense, the presiding official will give a verbal warning.
On a second offense, the player’s most recent game will be brought to zero points and a loss.
On a third offense, the player will be ejected from the event or league season.
These procedures are not mandatory, and gross misconduct may result in immediate escalation at the discretion of the head judge or league officials. This Code of Conduct uses the same dictionary found at the end of the WKTL rules, available here
